Being thankful
Received this yesterday; a box of books from my publisher.
I’m thankful to get these, and even more thankful to be around to see them published. All my books are important to me, but ‘Eye of Charybdis’ is special. Halfway through writing it, I was diagnosed with a serious medical condition. Fortunately I am married to the world’s greatest nurse, who urged me to get help from the VA. I did, but there was nothing they could do for me except refer me to another hospital. A few days later I was in Tampa General undergoing brain surgery at the hands of the world’s greatest neurosurgeon. At the time, we didn’t know how things would turn out, but now, more than a year later, I am very blessed to report that the Great Physician is still in the healing business, and I’m looking forward to the next book that’s rolling around inside my noggin. So whatever challenge you might be facing, trust in Him, for He is a God of mercy and strength, and His grace is there when we need it most.
